Very good, but tough to read at times. There’s an interesting contrast with the last novel I read, Whale. Whale contains far more brutal and intense violence, but is far less emotionally intense because the characters are more two-dimensional. By contrast, I couldn’t help but identify with the characters in Heaven, so even objectively “lesser traumas” were more relatable.
