Andrew Stuart "Andy" Tanenbaum (a veces conocido por el apodo ast) (nacido el 16 de marzo de 1944) es un científico informático estadounidense y profesor emérito de informática en la Vrije Universiteit de Ámsterdam, en los Países Bajos.
Es sobre todo conocido como autor de MINIX, un sistema operativo libre de tipo Unix con fines didácticos, y por sus libros de texto de informática, considerados textos estándar en el campo. Él considera que su labor docente es su trabajo más importante. Desde 2004 dirige Electoral-vote.com, un sitio web dedicado al análisis de datos de encuestas en las elecciones federales de Estados Unidos.
