John Peter Berger (5 de noviembre de 1926 – 2 de enero de 2017) fue un crítico de arte, novelista, pintor y poeta inglés. Su novela *G.* obtuvo el Premio Booker de 1972, y su ensayo sobre crítica de arte *Modos de ver*, escrito como complemento de la serie homónima de la BBC, se utiliza con frecuencia como texto universitario. Vivió en Francia durante más de cincuenta años.
