I'm giving this book 5 stars because it delivers what it promises: Namely providing a detailed analysis of the trade publishing industry in the U.S. from roughly post-WW2 to the present.

That said, it's a 5-star book that I probably wouldn't necessarily recommend to anyone I know because there aren't a ton of people who are interested in this kind of thing.

People who might want to consider reading it: * Any who works in book publishing * Writers * People with an interest in business who want an example of how to explain the economics of an industry without getting caught up in the individual personalities of famous executives.
