El teniente coronel Thomas Edward Lawrence, CB, DSO (16 de agosto de 1888 – 19 de mayo de 1935), conocido profesionalmente como T. E. Lawrence, fue un oficial del ejército británico célebre sobre todo por su papel de enlace durante la Revuelta Árabe contra el dominio otomano turco, entre 1916 y 1918. La enorme amplitud y variedad de sus actividades y relaciones, así como su capacidad para describirlas con vividez por escrito, le granjearon una fama internacional como Lawrence de Arabia, título popularizado por la película de 1962 basada en sus actividades durante la Primera Guerra Mundial.
