Paul Mark Scott (25 mars 1920 – 1er mars 1978) était un romancier anglais surtout connu pour sa tétralogie *The Raj Quartet*[1]. Durant les dernières années de sa vie, son roman *Staying On* remporta le prix Booker (1977). La série de livres fut adaptée à la télévision par Granada Television dans les années 1980, valant à Scott la reconnaissance du public et de la critique qu'il n'avait pas connue de son vivant.
