Sir Ernst Hans Josef Gombrich, OM, CBE (30 mars 1909 – 3 novembre 2001) était un historien de l'art né en Autriche, devenu citoyen britannique naturalisé en 1947, qui passa la plus grande partie de sa carrière au Royaume-Uni. Il est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages d'histoire culturelle et d'histoire de l'art, parmi lesquels *L'Histoire de l'art*, généralement considéré comme l'une des introductions les plus accessibles aux arts visuels.
